As a Sarasota and Bradenton family photographer, one of the most common questions I get is, “Where should we take our photos?” The truth is, the location should feel like a good fit for your family—whether that’s the beach, a park, or a downtown spot full of character. Here are my top five favorite local locations for family portraits.
1. Robinson Preserve (Bradenton)
Wide open spaces, boardwalks, and mangroves make Robinson Preserve a beautiful, natural location. Kids love exploring here, and the sunsets are incredible.
2. Riverwalk (Bradenton)
Perfect for families who want a mix of water views and urban scenery. The Riverwalk has playful areas for kids and lots of variety for photos.
3. Bayfront Park (Sarasota)
With views of the Sarasota skyline, palm trees, and the sparkling bay, Bayfront Park is a stunning spot for family photos—especially at sunset.
4. Payne Park (Sarasota)
If your little ones love to play, Payne Park is ideal. It’s colorful, fun, and full of life, which makes for natural, joy-filled portraits.
5. Your Own Backyard
Sometimes the best location is right at home. I often remind families that the memories you’ll treasure most are the ones made where you spend your everyday life.
No matter where we go, my focus is on capturing your family’s laughter, love, and connection. Sarasota and Bradenton have endless beautiful spots—we’ll find the one that feels most like you.
