Three Generations, One Beautiful Memory
Jul 25, 2025 | By: Brandi Eatman Photography LLC
I’ve come to believe that motherhood isn’t one chapter—it’s a whole novel. Each page is different, beautiful, and a little bit chaotic. From sticky toddler fingers wrapped around yours to late-night teen talks and even the quiet pride of watching your grown children raise babies of their own, every era of motherhood deserves to be honored. And to have those chapters being written at the same time is pretty wonderful.
And when you get to witness three generations wrapped in love on the same beach? That’s the magic I live for behind the lens.
Recently, I had the absolute joy of photographing a family vacation right here on Anna Maria Island. The sun was warm, the sea breeze gentle—and grandma was right in the middle of it all. She wasn’t just along for the ride; she was dancing in the waves with the kids, wrapping them in sandy hugs, and laughing in that way only grandmas can.
It took me right back to my own childhood, when my Grammy came along on our vacations. We’d hunt for shells together, eat grilled cheese with sandy hands, and fall asleep to the sound of her telling stories in a motel room that smelled like salt and sunscreen. Those memories? They’re priceless. And now, I get to freeze moments like that for other families.
Because the truth is—family photography is about more than just pretty pictures. It’s about documenting the little glances, the held hands, the generations of love that deserve to be remembered.
So whether you're knee-deep in diapers, navigating the tween years, or watching your grown children build families of their own—bring grandma. Invite her into the frame. Let her legacy live in the photos.
This era of motherhood—whatever one you're in—is beautiful. And it’s worth capturing.
